About This Spot

Stepping into Cliff’s Restaurant & Catering feels like finding a familiar corner of Jamaica tucked right in the heart of Miami’s bustling NW 7th Avenue. This humble spot doesn’t announce itself with flashy signs or modern décor—it’s the unpretentious hum of the kitchen, the steady rhythm of voices and clinking plates, and the warm, inviting scent of spices that draw you in. The pace here is unhurried, a reminder that good things take time, especially when dishes are made from scratch with care and tradition.

At Cliff’s, the atmosphere is quietly communal—a place where locals gather not just to eat, but to connect over the deep, soulful flavors of home. It’s less about flashy presentation, more about authenticity and the satisfaction that comes from meals crafted with patience and love. As you wait, perhaps after calling ahead to ensure your favorites are ready, there’s a pleasant anticipation in the air—a shared understanding that this food will nourish body and spirit alike.

The menu reads like a heartfelt letter from the island: smoky jerk chicken carrying a hint of char and warmth, tender curry goat steeped in rich spices, and fish gently stewed or escoveitched with layers of vibrant flavor. Plantains, cabbage, and peas add familiar textures and colors, grounding each plate in a sense of place. Pairing these with a cold Red Stripe or a refreshing homemade drink feels like a small celebration of Caribbean comfort, no matter where you’re from.

Beyond the food, Cliff’s has quietly become a gathering spot for those seeking genuine connection—to culture, to memory, and to community. The humbleness of its setting only adds to the experience, offering a kind of nostalgia for those who know Jamaican flavors well and a revealing discovery for those new to them. It’s a place where the kitchen’s steady work becomes a quiet act of sharing tradition in every plate served.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cliff’s Restaurant – A Hidden Gem for Authentic Jamaican Flavor If you’re searching for the best Jamaican food in Miami, look no further than Cliff’s Restaurant & Catering on NW 7th Avenue and 107th Street. This place may look like a humble hole-in-the-wall from the outside, but don’t let appearances fool you—Cliff’s is a powerhouse of flavor and tradition. Every dish I’ve tried here has been absolutely delicious. From the tender jerk pork and rich curry goat to the perfectly seasoned brown stew chicken, the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. Their lunch specials are generous, and the soups and stews are soul-warming in the best way. What makes Cliff’s stand out isn’t just the food—it’s the feeling. You walk in and immediately know you’re somewhere special. The vibe is authentic, the staff is friendly, and the kitchen clearly knows how to honor Jamaican culinary roots. Whether you’re a longtime lover of Caribbean cuisine or just curious to try something new, Cliff’s is a must-visit. It’s one of those rare places that feels like home and tastes like heritage.

If you want AUTHENTIC, delicious, satisfying Jamaican food that tastes like home. This is maybe the only place in Miami area to get it. It takes a long time to get the food so you have to call ahead and this is because they're making it from scratch fresh. It's definitely a hole in the wall, which is why I gave the atmosphere a 4, but it's nostalgic and a place for us as jamaicans to coalesce and feel at home. Love the owners as they are very hospitable and welcoming. This is a place that I can trust the food will be good everytime. Thank you for tasting like home !

My first time eating here I called ahead to verify if they had the cow foot dinner the woman on the phone was very polite she advised me yes so I went on door dash and order it …. The meal was excellent 9/10 a couple days later I took my cousin and we tried the oxtail plate that was also a 10/10 and the beef stew was a 7/10 I am in love with this place the quality of food they serve they have a new regular and it’s a must I come weekly now .
